This is about the most pertinent question.

I'd hope/think TSMC wouldn't hamstring itself with it's only manufacturing base for new tech being in a country that geopolitically is about as stable as a senile psychological patient on crack and will do chips for the US in the US (to avoid tariffs) and keep other fabs up for the rest of us but... eh, lets see.

5800X, same... Rumour is 12 full size core CCD's (up to 24 cores) +15% IPC over Zen 5, 6Ghz+ and a brand new interconnect reducing latency that should improve gaming performance over and above IPC and clock speed increases.

That'll do it....
 
12 core CCD's pretty much all but confirmed at this point.
The APU's look like they might have a couple low power cores in there as well.

This would sure be something, can only imagine the jump on top of that with X3D as well. Though I do hope at one point the non-X3D chips they get rid of and all their chips by default have the X3D tech.
 
if the 12 core on one ccd +x3d thing turns out to be true this n ext time around then i can see me going am5
im on a 5900x atm so id basically get
updated everything
id lose the inter latency from having 2 ccd
and id have the x3d cache across all 12 cores
basically a newer version of what i have now but on steroids i guess
that would get me onto am5 me thinks
