Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

Haha. Not really. But rather have that than any Google phone :D
Tbh I'll call any product out if it's meh. I have no qualms about saying the Tensor chips are lame for what is supposed to be a flagship phone at silly rrps. At good discounts these issues become tolerable.

What is brand loyalty these days.

I am not brand loyal either. I have slated Samsung many times. Mainly their devices for kitchens which in my experience break down way to much.

I got my S24U for £345 or was something like that brand new after all the cashback and selling all the stuff they gave me with the phone. So to me it a great phone at that price point. Nothing else comes close :D

The S25U was a only a light revision over the S25in my eyes this year , removal of the bluetooth features annoyed me so I was happy to keep my S24U . I currently am still using my S22U as well ,it seems Samsung are getting more like apple every new release with the lack of innovation.
I use the s-pen a lot so I've got nowhere else to go

One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 to resume today

After halting the rollout of the stable One UI 7.0 update yesterday, Samsung will reportedly resume the update today.

Some tweaks if you don't like some of the new UI 7 features.

Considering the S24 base or a Pixel 9a, S24 winning simply due to the optical zoom. How is Samsung's OS these days in terms of bloat? Not used one in years after being scarred by the horrors of a dedicated, un-remappable Bixby button.

New update seems to be blasting my battery. Mine is definitely lower than usual and the Mrs has just had to plug hers in during the day for the 1st time ever.

Me too, I've tried tge recommend tricks of clearing cache and running the battery down to 0% then fully charging but not helped.

I saw this posted elsewhere earlier & it seems to be making a bit of difference to my S24+:

Go into Settings > Connected Devices > deselect the various nonsense that your phone wants to share itself with.

Could somebody recomend me a wireless charger please?

Im confused with it all

Manual says its called mag safe ? When I look it up it seems to be apple chargers. Or the official Samsung website hasn't got the s24 in the Compatibility list?

Samsung has a wireless charger on offer at the moment
