To be honest I was going to throw the towel in after tariff day, I went from 35% profit to 5% and left with cash as I couldn't stomach eating into my capital. But I've slowly bought back in and I'm now back up to 16%. I regret not buying more at the bottom, was so tempted at the time but I bottled it ha

Lovely 10% jump on RKLB today!

It's true, it takes money to make money... reletivley speaking.

"Investing" is a breeze and pretty much zero risk as long as you're not silly about it and have a lot of capital to pump in and leave it for a long time... obvioulsy you should re-appraise what you are doing twice a year or every quarter or whatever.

It's all about scale and compounding, as in accumalators rather than dividends.

I 'lost' £500 over the weekend, but I've made back £350 today.... so technically I'm £150 down if I just look at the last weeks performance.

If I look at my last 3 months performance, it's barely a blip...

If you are donald trump though, you can make millions just by selling out, making a threat and then buying back in at a hefty discount. Cha-ching! $$$$

I regret not buying more in RR, if I put 70k in RR I would have made 600k plus, you can't look at it like it will make you sick.Just keep building at a slow pace and eventually you might get there.

A few weeks ago I sold with 59% percent profit. If I kept it for longer it would have been 67 % profit now it creeping up to 90%. I still have some shares but not as much before my sale. I took out my original investment and just left the profits in shares.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda... not point reminiscing....

Don't think what you might have gained... a wrong bet like that could easily result in a massive loss.... and I don't know about you, but a loss on that scale would be pretty devestating for me... it wouldnt ruin me, but it would be a massive slap in the chops!

Your still down on a few once you take into account costs etc.

It's like he says it knowing its a close on Monday too.
He knows exactly what he is doing and I hope he gets investigated for market manipulation. By whom.... Well I know it's just me talking nonsense but my god it feels like like bs.

How many times can you cry wolf? 50% tarrifs on EU? F him, turn around ask him what he thinks he's actually achieving on the world stage.

Its the same as him jumping on "weaker" world leaders and dropping ridiculous things on them, like the South African stunt lately.

When's somone gonna drop a stupid video on him and try and shame him, when's somone gonna ask him why he hasn't ended the Ukraine war in 24h? And really push it and rub his nose in it?

Way off topic way not about investing.

Sorry

He could be preparing for a war. Kicking out all the internal problems. I think Hitler did the same.

No stamp duty?
thats UK shares

only taxes would be CGT if it wasn't in an ISA, (although on US dividends the USA take 15% before you get the payment)

It's just a play around account with about 5k in it I mess around with for buying/selling shares.

you can have multiple isa as long as you stay under the 20k cap in total.

You don't pay Capital gains taxes on ISA stocks and shares account, all the gains are tax free.

Rachel reeves might change that if she thinks it can raise a few mil though.
