Not asking for top-of-the-range MPS4S/CSC7. Just something decent to put on.
Don't forget that the only thing between you and that tree/cliff/child are your tyres and brakes (and maybe a bit of skill). Don't cheap out!

How much power do we think the All Season CC3 Sport could handle comfortably? I know he drove a Golf GTI with 260bhp and 370Nm. What about cars with more than this? Would it just be a horrible mess?
Can't speak for the CC3 Sport but I've experience of CC2 on a Navara (228BHP/550Nm), Tiguan R and the Bridgestone all-season 6 on my Qashqai (not a lot of BHP but 320Nm torque) and these style of tyres really don't like even moderately booting it with a lot of torque and would definitely be a mess if you were chucking it around - even still pretty sensible if a little spirited driving shows the limits of these.
I'll be very surprised if they go nicely through a series of chucked in turns with anything that is properly hot.

I'm going to need to change all 4 of mine soon with the top 3 on Black Circles are Michelin PS5's, Bridgestone Turanza 6, Continental Sport Contact 7. I'm thinking PS5's as I've currently got PS4's and happy with the unless there's a reason to change to one of the others?

Bridgestone Turanza 6 isn't in the same class as PS5 or CSC7. It's comparable to Michelin Primacy 4+.
I think I like the idea of being able to drive in the alps etc, but the channel tunnel cost always puts me off an actual drive to europe.
That said, the car holds the road so well in the dry, that I figure dropping some dry performance for wet/winter/snow performance is probably a good compromise?

Aside from maybe the Pirelli Cinturato all season SF3, and there are some questions over manufacturing quality around them, there isn't really an all-season which is an ideal trade off in this respect - all season tyres tend to come with a fair impact on wet and dry braking distance at normal temperatures, though they improve over a summer tyre at wet performance in cool temperatures.

Thanks, I was just going by the top ones on Black Circles. That rules out the T6 then. A quick google suggests pretty even between the PS and C7 so will go whichever is easier/cheaper to get hold of when I change.
After doing more research changed my order to this...
1. Bridgestone Turanza T005
2. Michelin Primacy 4
3. Continental UltraContact
4. Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance
The Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact 2 aren't available in the rear size I need leaving the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance the only option. These are an old tyre which have been bettered. They all have a starting tread of 7.0 to 7.1mm
With regard to tread depths I quote Michelin...
"Tread depth is no longer an indicator of tyre life. It has much more to do with the technology behind the rubber compound. We actually have several tyre models with the same starting depth, but with a different tyre life. This is because we at MICHELIN are constantly striving to improve our products. In fact, one of the ways we do this is by reducing the tread depth as much as possible, while maintaining or even extending the life of the tyre. By reducing the depth of the tread, we can improve stability, thus safety, and by manipulating the rubber compound, we at the same time maintain the life of the tyres. In other words, the tread depth is only an indicator of when it's time to replace the tyre - and not how long it will last."
Why does it matter if you aren't replacing them yet? Come back in 3 years and ask the same questions
It really doesn't matter for the 50 miles a month or similar that you've said you do before and at less than 40mph for most of it.
Any of those tires will be many times more than you'll ever need and like @Armageus says these will all have been replaced by another model in 3 years anyway.

They already have, there is the Bridgestone Turanza 6, Michelin Primacy 4+ and Primacy 5, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 none of which are available in my size.
Just window shopping, half tempted to replace them now but can’t quite justify it yet. Some say replace every 5-6 years but must be replaced at 10 years whatever their condition. I have inspected mine and there’s nothing visibly wrong with them, tread depths are fine too.Why does it matter if you aren't replacing them yet? Come back in 3 years and ask the same questions

Been using Pilot Sport 4s for about 5 years and to be fair, they are bloody good, best really.
They are also bloody expensive.....
Used Goodyear efficient grip before nothing bad to say about those.
Anything else worth looking at?
I like the Pilot Sport 4's but they cost premium and short of driving like a complete maniac, which I generally don't do these days, I'm wondering if there are other tyres that are perfectly decent for a bit less
