*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Fair play to anyone that just waited it out until release day-absolute waste of time doing a pre order when I could have just reserved and picked one up.

And now I’m stuck waiting around for DPD to pull their finger out and give me a delivery time.

The scalpers must be panicking.

If only there was a mainline mario game, would have got the switch 2 but I can wait a few months if I can get it discounted.
One of the reasons I'm almost tempted today despite there not really being much to play. I can't see the price coming down for a long time.

It's unlikely there's going to be any price drops on this until perhaps an update midlife refresh model with OLED etc. and even then it'll probably be a minor adjustment.

You might get a decent bundle in future but the MKW one is decent enough as it is - if you're definitely buying one anyway, there's no real harm in buying one now... there's also no particular reason to buy it right now for most people either, just buy when it suits you.

Truth or Lies from Amazon? Place bets now.

True if you live near a distribution place there is no overnight shipping to do it just goes out the same day to your house. You get despatch emails the night before if they're moving stock from one warehouse to another.
I imagine they do stuff like the switch ahead of time to be ready.

Yep and considering stock is available still from the big stores, I don’t think stock is going to be an issue, might sell out for a bit after the initial rush.
But it’s a telling sign when you can still get one without putting in a preorder.

If anything I can see the price possibly going up in future if Trump doesn't back down on China and high tariffs kick in again. If that happens it's inevitable that rather than just load the price up for the US, they'll just spread price hikes around the rest of the world. Especially if the hardware profit margins really are as slim as they're rumoured to be.

But let's hope that doesn't end up happening. It's already an expensive time for gaming and I think we could all do without it getting much worse.

There's a few fulfulment centres scattered around here yeah. Fingers crossed I guess.

Just did the same with amazon cancelled and reordered with quicker delivery date. What a nonsense
I've gone with an Argos collection from 4pm today. If that pans out, I'll cancel Amazon. If Amazon charge/dispatch before then, it's going sent straight back when it arrives.

Absolute joke how they have handled this.

Still don't 100% trust Argos to actually provide, just due to demand etc. the email says it "Should" be available from 4pm today. So who knows
