So when they were available recently, I ended up buying a 5080FE upgrading from my 6 year old 2080
My intention was to upgrade everything including processor and PSU but haven't decided which ones yet so thought I would just run with it on my old rig for a while.
So I plugged the 5080 into my old motherboard, Gigagbyte Z390 Aorus Master, Intel 8700K @ 4.5GHz and using the original PSU, Superflower 850 (11 years old !!) but it came with three PCIE cables so connected up to the provided adapter.
Currently my monitor is 3440x1440@120Hz
So all games are running perfectly with everything set to max, processor doesn't seem to get over 60% with GPU 90/95%
Is there any point in spending £500+ on a new Motherboard/CPU/DDR5 , Am I going to see any real improvement ?
