Alien TV series (Alien Earth) : 2025

I figured the spaceship in the clip was that ship that had been to collect the samples, probably having started re-entry and then something killing the crew.

I have some very vague recollection from like 30 years ago of a book having that in it, or something along those lines.
Makes it easy to have the aliens loose then as opposed to having to be a lab leak type affair.

maybe :
Aliens: Earth Hive: Aliens : Earth Hive: v.1 (Aliens S.) Paperback – 4 Nov. 1993
by Steve Perry

possibly?

about half way through a pilot of a ship is infected, and taken in to custody on planet. he dreams of escaping in a ship.
then later on a cult break in.

its ny guess this is the bit your thinking of.

It looks very promising. I worry it’ll be 6-8 episodes of talking, moaning and general plodding with 2 episodes of actual, well aliens lol

I remember reading that back in the day, alongside a bunch of other Aliens and Predator novels based on the Dark Horse comics back in the 90's, absolutely loved them as a teen.

Rogue and Harvest come to mind as some of my favourites.

nightmare asylum and female war.
so many good books and memories.
earth hive was the book that actually made me enjoy reading and started me reaing for pleausre, i think my parents were so shocked i asked to buy a book to read, they didnt check the content :D probably wasnt age approriate for me to read at the time

i would have loved some films or tv shows based on the books.

this one makes me think so far of Aliens 3 - were Rilpy and co crash the ship in to earth. i sort or wonder if thats the tie in, with some retcon, based on trailor i dont think so. but would have been a good entry point tbh. explained as earh took remote controle and landed it instead

Well the final trailer looks OK which is a relief as some of the teasers were bloody awful.

Autumn will be a good time to sub to D+ and catch up on Andor and this.
