Resident Evil 9: Reqium (releasing Feb 27, 2026)

Apparently the girl in the new game is the daughter of someone from Resident Evil Outbreak. Hopefully we don't miss much back story if we haven't played Outbreak as that game completely passed me by, despite being a big Resi fan.
 
Cannot wait!!!

Protagonist looks a bit goofy but I like getting a bit of everything from the series, from the creepy to the tongue in cheek.

The protag is most likely Alyssa's daughter.

Hoped for Leon/Jill but it does look promising and they're probably in it anyways, maybe even playable.

EDIT: Also, Capcom is on an absolute roll for 2026 with this, Pragmata and Onimusha.

There were rumours Leon is the main protagonist and he is far more going to be playable than Grace. But early days yet, nothing concrete. Im thinking we should probably get a glimpse of game play pretty soon, with the release date not that far away. Steam page now up but very little info so far.

I think it won't be open world, but perhaps not as linear as previous games, would be mad if we get to see more of a destroyed raccoon city that during re 3 remake. game footage in August, 1st or 3rd person ? perhaps both, i think if its more survival horror 1st person
