EV general discussion

The interior of that car looks cheap and nasty, there is no other way to describe it. Is that car actually on steals?

Edit: Just looked, you can get a 71 plate Model 3 standard range for similar money - sure the handling is a lot worse but I'd take the Tesla any day of the week (and did at the time...).

Is there anything in the revised Cupra Born (the one that doesn’t have the drive selector attached to the driver’s display) worth having beyond the improved infotainment system?

I’m struggling to find any other differences between the original model and the revised one (pretty sure it’s not a full facelift), but there is a big price difference.

One advantage if you are buying nearly new/only a year old, is that Cupra introduced a 5 year warranty rather than 3 year from April 2024 ( i think).

Definitely worth thinking about if you are looking to keep it long term (on top of the other improvements people have mentioned).

A trim line called 'Max' should not have steel wheels in 2021 what the heck

First day I use the Model Y... someone has taken offence by it. And Keyed it bonnet to boot.

And the sentry didn't even trigger.... stupid
People clearly will take any chance to be ****s - I might dislike Musk but these people are human scum to be keying cars

Yeh I dislike Musk and would never go near a Tesla myself. But damaging someone else's Tesla (or any car) purposefully is simply not on.

I don't see a Tesla and think "that guy must support Trump/Musk". It would be silly to think that.

Went looking at some cars for my wife again today. She want's an SUV so went to have a look at Audi Q4, Mercedes EQA and Volvo XC40. Out of those she only really liked the Volvo.

Budget was as close to 20k as possible ideally but for a 22 Volvo with a few options it's more looking like 25. We came across the BYD Atto 3 and found a 25 plate with 250 miles on for 26k, it comes with all the gadgets on so that was tempting.

Then she started looking at the new Mini Countryman at 29k for a 74 plate which she really likes. And here we are at 30k rather than 20 :(

What age car are you looking at ideally? There's a lot about at £19-23k from 22-plate vehicles.

22 was the oldest really we wanted and newer with warranty is a consideration. What ever it is it MUST have a reversing camera otherwise she can't park

I wanted her to get a cupra born but she doesn't like it :(

Where’s DCC on that ?
yes I linked the wrong max - had though it/dcc was series in max
so that has a panoramic roof and dcc and that one has alloy wheels , so arguably at/above Born spec
