All my photos were verified by the shop when I took the photo. They have messed up, they do not read the notes. I guess it depends on the person at the other end.

Had a call was told I should have passport in a day. They apologised for the long delay.
Now I can start my application to the embassy next week.

Just discovered this thread - Can i ask if anyone has done the family of an EU resident over in Spain? We submitted the original form (Ive got my residency now so did the other half's) - Then we found out they wanted proof that we were actually living and breathing in the area???. Sent that proof off via the post office but that was weeks ago? - Problem is the 3 month date they gave my wife is coming up to technically leave??
The issue i have with that is my wife has freedom of movement piggy backing off me, so she isnt bound by the 90 day rule - you just have to register if staying for longer than 3 months?
Anyone else had experience with this? Even more annoyed as she wouldve had a job she kinda wanted if she had her TIE card - but cant do jack till they come back to say yes???

Why didn't you go to the national police station, they do all of those things in a day or two. I have mine from years years ago, once you get it, it doesn't change.

Well, all my documents are packed up ready to go. My daughter is travelling out to Madrid next week so she is taking them with her in order to save the cost/risk of sending them by post.
Birth certificates (mine and my mother's), marriage cert, ACRO all with apostille. It would cost a reasonable amount to replace them all!
Lets see what happens - need to put some serious effort into learning Spanish now!

Couldnt you send them to a UK consulate?
Mine is a very particular case.
Both my maternal grand-parents were part of the International Brigade during the Spanish Civil War. As a result of a law passed in Spain a couple of years ago, direct descendents are entitled to apply for dual nationality without a language requirement. So I don't have to give up British citizenship!
But my paperwork needs to be handed into Madrid. Should be all handed in next week!

Chase them up. Email them. Call them. Basically irritate them to the point they just want shot of you. It's works a treat, trust me. I've been on both sides of that fence many, many times.
I emailed them once a week, there response we are working by date received. "We will let you about your document application when appropriate, according to the order priority.".

We've just moved house again. I'd love to say we have the process nailed, but this was probably the worst. Probably because we hadn't expected to move again except for the final move into our house. As such we had bought a lot of stuff.

IAM selling everything, I still have sealed items.
i am getting rid of most of my stuff the large stuff might as well go, the price for transport was not worth it. I getting rid of the pc, laptop etc and all new sealed pc peripherals purchased this christmas.
I was thinking of even getting rid of my Specialised Sirrus ( disc brakes) still boxed,but not too sure yet. I was thinking of buying one out their.
Just thought I just get rid of it all. Most of my stuff pretty new as I upgrade evey year or 2.
Looking at other people posts this seem the best way, as it costs to much to tranport plus damage etc..
I will find out if my application has been successful in a few weeks.

I’d say it takes a few things to weigh up.
IF you buy new then I’d sell and replace here. If you prefer to buy used then I’d transport it. Second hand goods here just don’t seem worthwhile for the most part.
As an example I was looking at bikes and people were selling 2yr old bikes for €500 when you could get the equivalent bike brand new for €600. It doesn’t make sense.
Big stuff I agree with but I sold a lot of tools in the UK for peanuts that’s cost a lot to replace like for like.
