Only just seen the onboard of max's lap. The middle sector is mighty on top of that getting basically a tow through copse but after seeing sector one im surprised he was as quick as he was. Other drivers must have made mistakes on their laps to. Think i'd still be putting my money on one of the mclarens to win tomorrow.

 
Just caught up. Was really hoping Lewis would nail it but then a lock up at the last and Max - wow! What a lap! Great work from Russell too.

It's a shame Bearman landed a (well deserved) penalty in FP3, he had a great session for nothing.

Yup, I agree. He’s put in a decent lap and the others all seemed to stumble a little. The race will be interesting because they took downforce off the car to give him speed on the straights. If it’s even slightly damp, he’s going to struggle in the race, but if it’s dry then I don’t think anyone will be able to match his straight line speed.

I put a fiver on Lewis to be on the podium. I still don’t think it’s completely wasted.

What odds did you get on a Lewis podium? Doesn't seem like a bad bet at all.

They did. Sky Sports showed the replays about 20secs after Max finished his lap. They (Lewis, Lando, Oscar) all lost a fair amount of time. So we don’t need the incessant sycophantic comments for three pages lol… Clearly that RB car is decent too.

It was a red flag violation. There's just no excuse. They 100% need to treat this stuff seriously - and Bearman has already been penalised for not taking red flags seriously, he more than anyone else should have had this at the front of his mind.

Also, can we not do the "Max was underpenalised" thing every time we talk about penalties? Those coals have already been thoroughly raked over and it makes no difference anyway -- getting Max's penalty wrong doesn't mean they should get this one wrong too.

So 1 WDC, 1 future WDC and Lando all made mistakes where Max didn't, therefore Max's lap isn't anything noteworthy? Sound logic from our resident highlights watcher.
