What deals that aren't tat have you spotted?

Pondering the exclusive Luma Controller reduced under £40, given the 4k Max Firestick can do Luna cloud gaming.

I've seen an 8TB Seagate BarraCuda for £117. I bought one back in 2023 for £120 from elsewhere. It's slow and nothing special, but I just use it as an internal HDD in my PC to have media on-hand. Even though I rarely even consume at my PC these days, I'm tempted to get another one to replace my current 2TBs.

In a lot of cases, particularly products I may be interested in, there is a trend in slowly raising prices in the months ahead of these prime events, then reduce them to what they were ahead of said rises during the event. It’s a whole load of nonsense.

I have been watching a few items where the price hasn't changed for weeks, the sale price is for example £120 down from £140 but then quoting the savings percentage over the RRP of £190 to make it look like a bargain.

I can't remember the last time I ordered anything during Prime Day. It's got to be a good few years.

That said, I cancelled Prime last year as I hardly order anything from Amazon now, I've ordered three things this year from Amazon.

Been looking at Meta Quest 3S, looked to be a nice price on the 128GB model but then found it cheaper at John Lewis. Probably wait till black Friday now, its going to be a Christmas present anyway so no rush just means I wont be able to play with it for a few months it wont be sitting in a box for a few months

This is why you should use Keepa so you can see historical prices for items right on the Amazon website so you can tell if something really is a good deal or not.

I've got in on day 1 and really pushed the boat out this year.

Better half has just purchased the ps5 disc version of Visions Of Mana for £25, 5p higher than cheapest price from sources compared by...

It's ok to discuss Amazon in general, but isn't Amazon with respect to cases, hard drives and anything else PC- related against the competitor rule on this forum?

Last time I had a decent Prime Day sale was a £200 Keter shed which was dropped to £140 during the sale. That was in 2019.

I've just ordered the Fire TV 4k Max stick for £40, old Firestick/Firebox thing has started to get a little slow

I've been playing a lot of Automobilista 2 using a pad. The inevitable wistful thinking of wanting a wheel reared its head. Further compounded when I lurk in the peripherals section of this forum, seeing incredible racing rigs.

I talked myself out of this purchase, I need to buy sensible stuff, and parked the idea. Until, last night I watched a movie called 'The Seven-Ups' which I've never heard of; it features a great car chase.

To top it off today is Prime day, someone is telling me to buy a wheel goddamit. :D

So I've ordered a Logitech G920 wheel (50% off on Amazon).

Have been looking at a few mechanical keyboard options lately. Between Aula F99Pro or Keychron Q3 Max. Very different ends of spectrum with pros and cons on both.

I could upgrade my 2022 Fire Stick to the newer 2024 version but I already have the Max, it seems the difference is just more storage but I don't need to add more apps.

I could do with more spare battery for my Fuji though.

Very liitle else tempting me though, some of the things I saw/bought before were cheaper previously. Like I bought the Fire Stick Max for £32.99 in 2022, it's £39.99 in this Prime Day.
