Given some of those specific 2 review trends, that's good news imo and means this will appeal to majority of people and families. If they had loved it, i would have been worried....

Feared gunn would do the comedy too much. I trust Jeremy's reviews so I think it's not that good unfortunately. Most other reviews are just shilling.

'The final act sinks into CGI chaos, with an unsatisfying climax, an eye-roll-inducing reveal, a restlessly intermittent tone, and an insistence on prioritising things and people we don't really care about over core characters.'

Sounds like exactly what I was worried about in a previous post, when I made my previous comparison to the budget grade CGI-fest scenes in Batman V Superman :( - I don't know why DC seems to have such poor CGI these days, considering how good things like TDK and Man Of Steele/Superman Returns etc were?

Isn't that always what it is at its core? An alien living among us. MoS treated him like a God. Lex always wants to harm or kill him.

Its really not a big deal. Many comic books have messeges in them or as part of tge key plots. X-Men is all about bigotry and hatred of a minority that is different to you. Think about when these characters were created.
Which should be for the audience to figure out on their own... Saying it aloud before it's even aired feels like viral marketing to me to get engagement numbers up in some cynical ploy to raise box office numbers.

Joe not too happy with it, seems rushed and too much **** going on the movie never gets time to shine and punk rock soundtrack....eww.

The score certainly isn't punk rock. Its on Spotify already. Maybe there is a few track of real bands played in certain places but its primarily a score soundtrack. Reel rejects seemed to love it for the most with only a couple of tiny issues.

You're joking right? You're going to dismiss Angry Joe opinion, a known Superman fanboi, and use Reel Rejects opinion as why you should watch it because they gave it a more glowing review? Especially when they (Reel Rejects) have someone working for DC on their show staff? Bias much?

Critics haven't liked Superman since the 1970s film.

Every subsequent Superman film has faced huge critiques, even Man of Steel.

Slightly paraphrasing from some of the reviews post Superman II.

*Slow and charming is boring and needs more action,
*Lex as sole villain then not enough villain
*Multiple villains then too many villians,
*Comic books brought to life makes it unrealistic,
*Singular Comic book based is always the wrong comic book no matter which genre / no. picked,
*No batman featured then having no batman is a problem,
*Batman included then its the wrong Batman,
*Superman turns up then its the wrong Superman, wrong suit, wrong build (too slim, too jacked)
*More Clark then not enough Superman
*More Superman then not enough Clark
*No backstory then not enough origin
*Origin then too much origin as been done before

DC can never win though.

Man of Steel was hated at the time yet heralded as brilliant now. Even Superman Returns is looked back on fondly.

Batman has it as bad as Superman. Heck the controversy over Tim Burton and Keaton went on for years as the DCU gear shifted from the cheesy DC TV shows.

Not sure I'd agree with that outside of the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin (I'm still haunted by the nipples), the Nolan trilogy was solid and well regarded and the 2022 Pattinson movie was well regarded enough to spawn a sequel.

Hell, the only good thing about The Flash was Michael Keaton as Batman.

The Synder stuff was a bit hit and miss, but then there was never a genuine stand alone Batman movie with Affleck playing the role.
