Hello folks,

I wanted to please ask for some advice/help. I wanted to use a desktop that I previously got OCUK when I was laid off, so I am trying to get it working again but I did buy a new PSU and GFX card a while ago and never got round to fitting them. I am trying to boot now with the new parts on, it won't POST, but there is

As far as I know I think that the components should work together, but I may have missed something. Below I have listed the main parts.

Motherboard - ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING

PSU - MSI MPG A1000G

GFX - ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 12G

Many thanks in advance

You will need to remove that link for the PSU for starters.

When you say it doesn’t post, what exactly happens? Have you tried swapping anything out to test?

Have you checked for an updated BIOS?

Pics of the inside would be helpful.

Did the PC not work before the new parts? In other words, should we suspect everything in this PC?

The package I got from OCUK was a bundle also included the following

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 2700X 4.35GHz (Socket AM4)
RAM: Team Group Night Hawk 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit

I'll get some pics/video this afternoon, apologies you are right :)

The PC did work perfectly fine before.

Oh sorry, it won't let me edit my original post... likely a permissions thing?

I have never ever been able to get a desktop to post. Nope. I wired it all up etc etc...

Maybe it was the wood i used?
