Just watched, overall it was OK, better than my Jurassic Park experience. I would give this 6/10, definitely a film for today's younger audience or new to Superman, me I prefer the orginals

Cineworld definitely sell alcohol that can be taken into the screenings at a lot of their places.

I'm shocked, I thought they wouldn't allow it, due to some people being a nightmare sober in a cinema!
I wonder if there's a limit to how many times you can go back to the bar, or how many drinks you can take in?
Or maybe they shut the bar during the screening?
You can seemingly take two in with you, though I've never tried that and I've never done this so I'm speculating, but I suspect you probably wouldn't be allowed back in to the screen area after your ticket had been checked originally with more alcohol.
What's the thought process here? I hate this film so let me buy some overpriced beer at this cinema and go back in and suffer the rest of the film whilst tipsy? Then go for a refill to see if act 3 is better while totally bladdered?.

Maybe I worded it poorly, my mistake.
I was referring to the countless times that I've been to the cinema and there's a bunch of idiots talking, laughing, on their phones, throwing popcorn and stuff about, and being in general a nuisance? So I was simply saying, those people don't need alcohol to make them worse, so I just figured it was banned in a cinema, as it is just adding fuel to the fire.
This is 100% comic book movie and it meant to be completely unrealistic and light hearted. So definitely not worthwhile if anyone is expect ultra epic Oscar winning masterclass. (Although i was very impressed with Nicolas Hoult). Critics in the past complained that the tone of Snyder movies was too dark and serious, now your on the opposite end of the spectrum and its too silly and boring.

Aye. Wife and I bought a bottle of wine and took it to the screen.

I'm guessing age verification is the only thing stopping this getting out of hand with the section of society you describe, in the UK.
However, It's probably only a matter of time till we see a "drunk youths ruin cineworlds matinee showing of Lilo & Stitch, full of 6 year olds" headline in the papers.

No it was Top Gun Maverick. Haven't been to Vue in a while. Saw Superman on my own yesterday. She isn't into superheroes or comic books. No point in taking her to see it if I know she wont like it.Did she wake up for the second half? Or was this just so you could get through the new Superman?
To be honest, the UK is renoun for ruining things with excess like this, you only have to look at the prats when they go abroad on a LADS LADS LADS holiday and spoil the slacker rules for everyone else.
