external cctv camera usb lead

im looking at putting up cctv outside, im wanting to power it through the waterproof usb lead it has
can i drill trough the corner of the UPVC windown frame? this would be a opening window so wont have any glass to worry about

not keen on drilling through the wall

what do you guys think?

I would drill through the wall not the window frame.

You might hit the metal of the frame. I'd probably look for a more reliable route through the wall.

Plus if your windows ever need to be changed, a wire going through them will cause a pain.

The USB connector is quite large. You will need to drill a sizeable hole?

Usb lead? Proper CCTV cameras don't run on usb.

Buy proper ones, drill hole through wall and run cat5e cable through

Don't drill through your window frame, it won't look good.

thanks for the replys, i think im going a different route, replacnig the external garden flood light with a cctv floodlight will solve some other issues too
