Axel diasi?

Arteta wanted him years ago
Really?!

In that case you can have him for £50 million :p

No truth in it to my knowledge, was more just with Arsenal buying our players in recent years and he's got no future with us.

Jackson available too rather than going after Gyokeres.

We really need to pull our finger out now, other teams are strengthening quite significantly and our pre-season starts in a few days.

No incomings, no outgoings. The Cunha deal was agreed 6-7 weeks ago and that's been it!

Great.

Yeah. I think the issue is simply that we need to sell and move players on and thats not happening. We thought we could shift Garnacho, Sancho, Antony and Rashford and none of them have really got anywhere near the door. Sancho might be interesting Juventus but they want to pay about £6m for him + some bonuses.

One the problems is affordability of players in two ways. 1) The players aren't attracting attention from teams that can afford the fee + wages, in the case of Antony and Betis, or 2) just the ridiculous wages some of these players are on in the case of Sancho and Rashford.

I'm really hoping this is a lesson learned not to give out such ridiculous wages in the future.

Isak, Gordon, Elenga, Barnes, Murphy, Ousla and if we add Ekitike that’s just filth.

All the other clubs need to be buying defenders because we are about to run you ragged!!
So in essence what you're saying is that with the team Newcastle will have, Howe will deserve to be sacked if they fail to win the league and/or Champions League this season :D

Appreciate its not a serious comment but hard to see what success looks like for Howe this season. Bridging the gap to City, Liverpool and Arsenal is a bit much which leaves a handful of teams competing for 4th place. Chelsea have been getting stronger for a little while now, Villa will be there or there abouts plus a resurgent Spurs and Man Utd who can absolutely not be as bad as they were last season. Add in Bournemouth and Brighton who have turned into pretty solid premier league teams along with newcomers Sunderland who are going to surprise everyone and go full tilt towards a European spot then we are going have to find some better consistent performances to land in the top 6.

There's a disconnect between the players that Manchester United (both the club & the players) see are "good enough for the club" and the players that they can attract - wages are basically the only bridge for that. The club's prestige only goes so far, and even that is waning as we're approaching a time where young players do not remember Utd as a formidable team and world-beaters. No European competition is only going to make this even more difficult as players want to play in those competitions.

Utd have to keep flexing their financial muscles until it finally works and gets them out of this mess, or gamble on a bunch of youngsters and hope it turns out.

Sancho's massive wages are for a reason, before he joined Utd he was the most sought after player in world football (after Mbappe, who everybody already knew was Madrid bound at some point). He just didn't pan out, and thats why they seem so excessive.

Id rather the club come out and say we cannot afford any players because we are going to terminate a load of contracts and pay them out. You shift the blame onto the players. Draw a line in the sand and move on.

Zero Europe next season 1 game a week.
