Us Newcastle fans (with the possible exception of piggy) all know that Isak will leave the club eventually most likely to go to a club with more possibility of winning the champions league, but with 3 years left on his contract it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than £120m, the club currently hold the cards not the player.
 
Had we not got champions league, Isak would have 100% been off this summer, but he’s not going to agitate for a move when he can look top class in the champions league for us and then get a bigger move next summer to Barca or Real

BBC reporting "it is believed a package to successfully get Isak out of St James' Park could cost up to £130m"

Providing you're willing to take monopoly money then Barca might be an option but given Real have Vinicius & Mbappe, do you really think they're going to spend big on Isak?

Barca haven't got a pot to p155 in and Real's current MO is to sign players once they've run their contracts down.

Yep, he’s in the top 3 strikers in the world, of course real will want him, and Barca will always be able to fiddle the books, if he’s given the choice of Liverpool this season or barca or real next season, there’s only 1 winner
 
the "BBC understands" phrase isn't used lightly when it comes to transfers. I would have thought people knew that.
Though to be completely honest, that phrase opens the paragraph above in the report :D

"BBC Sport understands the Reds have made genuine moves towards a deal to sign Sweden international Isak in recent days."
