Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

£65m profit in 6 years. If Wissa goes for his asking price too that would be a £42m profit in 4 years. Enough combined to cover the cost of our recent stadium build and the new training ground we've got planned. Mbuemo was one of just a small handful of current Brentford players who had played at Griffin Park.

The general feeling amongst Brentford fans is that £65m is a bargain for United. Those that have seen him play for six years straight just might have a better read on him than most others who only see him on highlights shows...

Let's hope United don't then throw that away and ruin him like they do plenty of other expensive players.

I wouldn't say a bargin per say, as i said before he's a very good player and i like him a lot. But (always a but right), he did over perform his xg by a lot last year and he won't be the penalty taker at man utd so you could potentially see a fairly large drop off in his output.

Like I said... the difference in opinion between those that have watched him regularly vs those boiling him down to xG overperformance. If he was purely an xG overperformer than United would have got away with paying a lot less.

He underperformed his xG by 5.5 in his first season in the Prem, whilst the season before last he was on for ~15 non-penalty goals before he got injured and missed almost half the season. His impact at both ends of the pitch makes him a complete player - only second to Salah, and miles ahead of third, for progressive passes received, whilst led the division for tackles in the defensive third for any forward. Add twenty goals from the wing into that and he's an elite performer at this level.

Trust me, United have got a bargain.

I dont really care what the costs involved are - thats up to the club to decide if they're happy with the price. I'm just sad I won't get to see him play for Brentford anymore... it's been a great six year spell. Oh well, just bought my ticket for our opener away at Forest, so that's something to look forward to!

And there's a lot of talk suggesting Ederson is off to Turkey :D

It's hilarious but I actually feel for you during transfer windows. Not a window goes by where you don't get far too excited about a potential transfer only for somebody else to sign them. Usually multiple times per window too.
