CEO of tech company gets caught cheating at Coldplay gig.

Can someone please explain to a numpty what the company actually does? It all seems like a massive grift with typical linkedin buzz words. Are all these "tech" companies a bit like the .com bubble of the turn of the millennium?

We are the company behind Astro, the industry-leading data orchestration and observability platform powered by Apache Airflow®. Astro accelerates building reliable data products that unlock insights, unleash AI value, and power data-driven applications.

What does that even mean?
It means.... take some more stock...

The stock is at zero.

It's sad really, as there are way worse things happening and happiness can be hard to find.

I wonder if any of the people who are involved in this are going to come out better, and let's hope they don't have school age kids or they'll be bullied and singled out for ages after this.

People will cheat, work colleges will fraternize with each other, this isn't news it's called reality. Not sure if I find it funny, only sad really.

It was funny for 3 minutes and the memes give it another hour of funny but like everything it gets milked to oblivion.

Inc all your mums

just the kind of company starmer will be contracting to provide his promised AI enhancements to the UK and use his new nvidia kit;
just like many companies (autonomy ... ) waiting for the big boys to buy them and turn founders into multi millionaires.

Hopefully they both get sacked.
I don't get it..... I saw it yesterday as well. so long as it's 2 consenting adults and not affecting their works it's got naff all to do with anyone other than the 2 people and their respective partners.

with the crazy hrs everyone works these days if I was not allowed to date colleagues I would likely be paying the local knocking shop !. I met my wife and ex wife at work.

of course if it's a boss and a subordinate there is potential for things to get sticky but so long as are happy then no harm no foul

Ah report it to the head of HR, or the CEO. LOL

Or perhaps the CEO is friends with finance, and diddling the company.

I knew a company that used company funds to pay for their own house...helps when most on the board were immediate family.
you are coming across as pretty naive imo. one of my closest friends was the managing director of a company. his mum the head of HR and his best mate head of sales.
it's as inbred as it could get but it's all legal. if that is acceptable then suggesting people can't date is crazy imo

he still would be now but his mum retired

lots of companies have this kind of structure

And the one I worked for had mother and son running it.

They were closed down for fraud, which I reported them for :D

Yeah but that's apples and oranges, this isn't just dating. Having an affair within the company, at such a senior level, is putting yourself in extremely compromisable position. It means you're vulnerable to blackmail, weren't bothered about this vulnerability, and completely destroys any trust anyone can have in your judgement.

He's been suspended now.

I think it's all quite tiresome this. None of anyone's business and an invasion of privacy.

How is it that? They were in a public place surrounded by 1000s of people, all with camera phones. If you are going to have an affair its best not to flaunt it out in public if you don't want to get caught. Judging by the look of the other women with them she knew them both and knew what they were doing. My only sympathy is for their families, not for them.
