Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I have around 6 in various sizes/firmesses/spikes. Honestly my house looks more like a physio office at times. Although this little massage gun is awesome for the bottom of the feet too.

Also have a balance cushion i use when standing at my desk and this which i've found has been great for foot/ankle stability

I have a bigger massage gun i bought ~5 years ago which is fine, but by wife sometimes struggles with the weight. Figured this would be ideal, but i think i'll use it more too because it's a much smoother motion
I bought a RecovaPro (or something like that) about 5 years back too, but I've just found it wont charge. I might be able to get it fixed, but maybe not. How good is this one you've bought and how much was it? Would it be powerful enough for me to pummel my quads with?!

I'd say this one is very good for a lot of uses. It feels lovely to use and is pretty powerful for the size. I've just tried it on my quads, and whilst it does a decent job. I think i'd prefer something more powerful if that was the primary goal. This would be superb for traveling though. Handy in that it uses USB C

They do 30 days risk free trials, so could grab this small version or maybe their more premium Elite version

My main complaint is that it doesn't come bundled with a case which is an optional extra. I'm not sure why they don't just up the price by £15 and add them together.

Arrived this morning via Aliexpress, a drill sharpener. Heard good things about these things and I must say after a short trial run on a few drills it's awesome. Very quick and produces a fine split-point sharp drill. I won't be using it on the bench shown, not a great idea to have grinding dust near the lathe but it does have a CBN wheel so only metal particles not grindstone dust. I figure some well-placed neodymium magnets will catch most of it, or I can connect it to the shop vac on the other side of the 'shop.

That's pretty handy. Would be interested in long term thoughts. I've been drilling through some car seat runners which have been destroying drill bits, no matter what i buy or how slow i go

You need carbide or cobalt. Use some cutting oil too. Those things are usually hardened steel so need some proper hard bits, loads of muscle and some finesse.

Yeah, i was using these cobalt ones

They were a little better than the stuff in the local shops, but still didn't seem to be doing what i was expecting. Will grab some cutting oil to see if that helps. Might try buying the 6mm versions and build up and see if that works better

View from my new (rental) flat, not sure if it counts as a purchase but it certainly costs enough.

Cobalt with cutting oil, split point, and possibly 135deg cutting angle. Carbide likely to snap on you when used free-hand - ok in a drill press but not hand drill. Stubby drills might be better too if they're long enough as you're less likely to snap those.

New PC time, got all this last week, plus a 5080 FE which arrived yesterday. I should've had it all by the weekend prior but DPD let me down a couple of times which meant one order was four days late, and then the motherboard didn't arrive at all, so I had to re-order it from somewhere else. Then the case had a chip in the glass so that got returned and re-ordered. A somewhat cursed start but it's all built now and seems to be working perfectly.

£118 + del from ***elsewhere*** (OCUK don't sell them, so should be ok with the mention).
I've never seen one of those before! Does the display contribute to temperature increase, or does it run quite cool?

I can’t imagine it’d make any difference to the temperature as it’s held on by magnets and there’s a fair bit of plastic between the screen and pump.
It’s idling as cool as a cucumber.

Yeah but it's pushing any heat it generates into the case, which could increase the ambient temperature for other components. But, it looks like an LCD screen or something that won't put out much heat.

One good thing about being in NZ, is new phone release day comes earlier than anyone else :D

I'm genuinely amazed at how well these foldy phones have taken off. No matter how you dress it, those screens don't fold. They're cleverly cut in places that Samsung hopes nobody notices, and after a few months there are massive kinks in the "folding" part of the screen and the lamination is also coming loose leaving that nasty bubbly crap on top. That would drive me absolutely nuts, to the point I'd get rid of it and get a normal phone
