Yup same, I was literally just listening to his stuff on Friday evening.
Yup, such a sad story that.
If anyone doesn't know go read about it or there are some good documentaries on Ozzy that covered the tradegy.
Ite actually crazy really.
Ozzy said that Randy was the best friend he ever had, well they are both playing some gigs together now.

RIP Ozzy. Shocked to hear it but he did look frail at the concert. Glad he was able to do one last performance for his fans in his home city.

You certainly were a Miracle Man.
How he lived to 76 is unfathomable given the excesses of the 70's and 80s. I think his talent is under estimated but not in terms of his songwriting or singing but the platform he created for other musicians to shine. Uncovering talent like Randy Rhodes, Jake E Lee and Zakk Wylde, allowing them to shape a sound and become stars in their own right was the act of a selfless man. His creation of the Ozzy persona was genius as it spoke to a generation of teenagers. The re-invention as a media personality introduced him to a whole new audience. Hell even my kids know who he was.
As ever his timing was spot on, played the final show and took the final curtain three weeks later.

Rip Mr Osbourne.
His music was a bit before my time, seeing parts of the Osbourne's, I just thought he was a doped up, stuttering drunk, weird show. There’s clearly a lot I don’t know though, will need to do some reading/listening. I’ve no doubt he was a talented artist and showman in his heyday.
