Local one for sale. Ex funeral car.

Can I drive one with a standard license? I assume some.

What about insurance? Should it be the same vs a normal 4 door car?

Yes you can. It'll likely be pretty cheap to insure too as I'm sure it will come under some coach built model.

I had a Mercedes w123 limo a long time ago, although it had extend doors so just the 4, with 3 rows of seats. I bought it for £800 and planned to do a banger rally in it, but the MOT failure sheet was way too long. The floor I discovered had been fiberglassed to hide rust

They are all custom built and it might have to be insured as a commercial vehicle.

But you're going to look a bit Adams Family driving that around. Good for boot space though, you could fit a body in it :D

I remember years back seeing a few Ford Cosworths (Granadas or Scorpios I think) used to make these. Wouldn't be late for your funeral in that.

For a passenger vehicle it's up to 8 seats on a normal license so you should be good.

Insurance however is likely to be more, and probably not strightforward. Obviously it has more seats, so potentially more passengers, so more potential injury claims in the event of an accident. It also may count as a modified vehicle, depending on if it was a factory job or a conversion done by a coachbuilder.

Two possible good reasons...

1/. All the traffic will slow down and move aside for you. Pedestrians will stop and bow their heads instead of getting in your way.

2/. Vehicle is available to hire for goth/emo parties and proms.

And sucking on a crack pipe.
