Did they? I must have missed that one.I'm pretty sure they already announced that.
Anyway, Mbeumo is now confirmed as a United player.

As much as I want them to fail I can't agree. They are buying proven upper tier premier league standard players that have performed at that level. I think they are great acquisitions. Once they boot the manager in October I think we will really start to see the best of them.I think both Cunha and Mbeumo are risky, they both had good seasons last season but they've never been anywhere near as good as that previously.
They have performed in well drilled teams which suit them completely, United is a completely different animal. Not saying I wouldn't have taken a punt on them last season when we had all our forwards out but I'd be surprised if they perform to last seasons levels. As much as I want them to fail I can't agree. For me there is less risk with these two vs some alternatives and in comparison to signings made in the past.I think both Cunha and Mbeumo are risky, they both had good seasons last season but they've never been anywhere near as good as that previously.
Imagine if Rashford absolutely smashes it at Barcelona.
Yeah, not sure what that comment was about... Rashford should do well, he'll be playing with better players in an easier league. I don't think I've heard of any genuine United fans wanting him to do poorly either. Then we get 26 million next season so everyone wins.
There's plenty of Yanited fans wishing him ill. Mostly the online ones from the US/Asia/Africa who don't realise/care what he's done for Manchester & England as a whole when [redacted 'cus politics]. But otherwise yeah, even local rivals acknowledge Rashford as a stand up bloke and just hate him on the pitch.Yeah, not sure what that comment was about... Regarding new signings, unless one of them is going to play as a striker then we have at least 4 players for two positions, 5 including Zirkzee? Mount too? (and that's assuming we sell or loan Antony/Nacho) Which is probably fine under normal circumstances but with fewer games and no money, surely the money for one of them would have been better spent on a midfielder.
If we don't sign anyone else and they both play up there with Zirkzee or Rasmus and Bruno ends up deeper then it's not going to be much different from last year. Casemiro's legs are another year older and the Burno/Ugarte combo doesn't inspire much confidence. Some are saying that Cunha will be asked to be a striker.
Assuming no more new signings then top 10 is probably realistic? I suppose we could potentially concede fewer goals if defenders stay fit.
With the club at rock bottom perhaps we do need to be realistic that this is as good as it gets for the foreseeable.
I find that if you have no confidence in your keeper then you are twitchy as a defender / defence as a whole, and plans can go out the window...I think keeper is perhaps less important than the midfielder. We haven't got aspirations of any serious trophies this season so the main thing is getting the team functioning. A keeper that makes the occasional howler won't stop the team from functioning well. A crap midfield will.
Do we have any confidence in any player? Even Bruno can be a liability when he's not playing well.I find that if you have no confidence in your keeper then you are twitchy as a defender / defence as a whole, and plans can go out the window...
