I know someone like this, I'll recommend that they play a game, that I've just finished, they tell me "no, but I watched a streamer complete it."I've a friend who ruins his gaming enjoyment by watching videos to death before playing and then staying it's boring... I mean, of course it's boring, if you've watched hours of reviews... No point playing any games in that case.
I don't get it either, at all.I know someone like this, I'll recommend that they play a game, that I've just finished, they tell me "no, but I watched a streamer complete it."
I've tried explaining why this is ruining something that they would have enjoyed themselves, as they don't deny liking what they've seen? I then say imagine how good X would have been if you'd done that part yourself, and how fun the gameplay is to play if you enjoyed watching it, "yeah but I've seen it, I know how it ends." etc
I don't get this mentality? You're spending the same time physically watching someone else play it, as you would yourself? There's no gain here?
They obviously like the game, or they wouldn't put themselves through watching hours of that for days? Surely you'd watch a bit of it, fall in love with it, then go buy it?
Really looking forward to this to be honest, I enjoyed the first one, currently looking for something to play so might actually reinstall it and play through it again.
It's the gaming equivalent of liking a girl, but never doing anything about it; instead, choose to listen to the new boyfriend tell you how great she is in bed!I don't get it either, at all.

Worse still, I said this to them, in more 'passionate' terminologySavage analogy, but kinda true!![]()
I actually bought the directors cut upgrade after completing the original but I've not played it yet.. Apparently it's got some more stuff going on but I can't remember the details
There were times I found the actual gameplay of DS1 quite boring, but I really liked the story. I really hope we don’t have to wait too long before it comes to PC
I think boring was probably a bit too harsh from me thereI was the opposite.. I found the story interesting but I just loved navigating the wilderness lol
I think boring was probably a bit too harsh from me thereI think I just lost interest after a while - but the landscape was absolutely stunning
I played the whole thing start to finish on the Steam Deck! Unreal!!I think they did an incredible job making it scaleable too - I was only running it on a 6600k , rx480 @1080p and it's a shockingly graphically stunning game even running on that.
EDIT...Hmm it seems there is a user called 1080p![]()
