Are Chavs/Charvas actually more likely to be dangerous compared to other groups of people (ie Goths/Nerds etc)?

Who doesn't collect stationery!

I once saw them live back in the 00s. They got hired for a big work do lol. A colleague went back stage to smoke weed with them and a couple of them were extremely high by time they came out perform.

Great night.

Chavs are not dangerous, they're just annoying.
Hanging outside Tesco Express getting in peoples way and swearing at everyone. Hanging out in kids playgrounds and swearing so parents don't wanna take their kids there...
They're just people who are too lazy to get a job, not dangerous.

You say that, but I got mugged by a few once... one on one, I could have knocked them all into the middle of next week without breaking a sweat, but there was 4 of them surrounded me and hitting me from all sides.

I'd happliy see them all in the gas chamber.

Statistically yes.

However Chavs are a dying breed these days and have been largely superseded in cities by "Roadmen".
No, they're different, chavs are still chavs, but "roadmen" are chavs that go and sell drugs either locally in the 'endz' or 'go county/country' hence the whole 'county lines' term. Both are still helmets just the same :)

Charva? lol wot

Urban dictionary reckons it's a North Eastern Chav. I might drop this into a conversation soon and see people's reactions. Never heard this said in my life.

They can look similar but where I'm from a Charva/Chav typically looks like this

g02uRzz.jpeg

(Kane of Bad Boy Chiller Crew, a Bassline and Garage music band that got popular around 2023 and is popular among charvas/chavs. It was around 2023 when chav/charva style was becoming trendy again, hence all the charva related memes)

I always understood 'chav' is just a contraction of the word 'charva', it's the same thing.

May well have originated in the north east, but it caught on as a general term for uneducated young thugs with no future other than jail or drugs overdose.
