LG OLED 2024 thread - A4, B4, C4, G4

TV arrived, very happy with the image but the sound is absolutely atrocious compared to my old tv - no wonder they are throwing in a soundbar! Although I guess I was pretty spoiled with the Sony TV's panel actuactor speakers.

I'm certainly not complaining!

Watching this gives me an indication of how reliable the wireless connection is. Happy with that.

Congrats. What's your thoughts on the brightness and anti glare performance.

Coming from a Sony Oled from 2018 the brightness jump is fantastic. HDR content looks incredible. I have a window directly opposite and it does a pretty good job outbrightnessing the reflections unless the sun is directly shining on it towards sunset

Sounds great!

Picked up a 55" G4 last week from Richer Sounds for £1099 last week and god it's beautiful, I came from a 55" E8 which was a real pain with my soundbar, and it's nice for everything to be working through E-ARC now (without the popping sound) and the colours are just gorgeous.

Yup can confirm the HDR performance is absolutely stunning. And going from 55 to 65" just adds to the immersion. Like the new menu system in general, gives me quicker access to brightness and other settings.

LG seem to have given the B series a good upgrade now compared to the early models a few years back.

I am going to try and hold out for the B5 model to be heavily discounted like the B4 is currently.

Well yeah. Just means less clutter on the bench and no worries about wires. I have my own wall mount so not using the flush one.
Absolutely makes sense. I think I just assumed the wireless model would be the super shiniest fancy features one. But it's more of a specific improvement.

The other fancy features are odd anyway - does anyone want or need a transparent TV or one that rolls up?
