Nothing to lose.... Took the words right out not my mouth. He was able to gamble because he was doing worse.

Yeah but he still drove great after that , pitting timing cost Oscar maybe they thought the tires would fall off quicker?

Option? Yeah but his hand was forced. He has to battle Lando if he wants to win the WDC so had to two stop there.

No, he could have pitted or waited longer to pit. That was his option. Cover Leclerc or get lap delta to Lando before pitting.

He chose the latter, which was a mistake. He even said that in his podium interview.

I just can’t see it. The absence of Newey and their first proper engine. Max is young though, so makes sense to stay.
I think Red Bull's PU for 2026 currently rumoured to being somewhat pants played a part in Horner's departure, alongside the bigger factor of the team's overall poor performance this season. Max has probably seen this info to some extent but still needs to see where other teams are at, hence him confirming he is STILL with Red Bull for 2026.

Oh dear Max, well, performs a Max again with Hamilton
And the stewards bottled and left until after the race…
Still another awesome 1-2 for McLaren.
And on split strategies!
Russell back on the podium
Not a bad race at all

I think they are hoping Lewis will just let it go so they won't have to decide. It is normally 2 points, and that would leave Max on 11 points, 1 point away from a ban, till the end of October.

Judging by Lewis’s emotions, it’s likely he doesn’t give af and will tell stewards it’s fine and Max should be ok.

Especially as it didn’t affect Lewis’s race

Not sure why people are rating this so low, I thought it was a quality race with a lot of strategic interest and battles for important places. I gave it 7/10. Chuffed to see Bortoleto doing well, and nice to see Lawson getting a bit of luck too. Norris keeps the WDC alive heading into the break.
