EV general discussion

Awks. I've just test drove this and put a deposit on it :o

How are you planning to atone for this, as you'll be labelled as some sort of Musk lover, and clearly a right-wing extremist of sorts, yes?

Wasn't your old car red as well, or am I misremembering?

No, done a drastic 180. Current car is turquiose (or snapper rocks blue as BMW calls it :D )

In for a penny in for a pound?

Going to call up about that ex demo car tomorrow. The tax savings seem like a no brainer. Though the car I originally reserved, the finance was ~£450 extra. I’d rather not submit another application so going to see if I can get a few accessories or super charger credits. Not sure how viable that will be though

totally. silly how car prices can increase with inflation (or more) but that luxury car tax is stuck at £40k
£40k in 2017 money is not the same as £40k in 2025 :/

@Junglist as someone who has bought a red M3 (albeit the non-highland) i can say it looks stunning, but i may be biased lol
To be fair it’s a nice change. Current car is bright blue. Prior to that they were mostly black

My first car (1998 Corsa Breeze, whopping 1.4) was seven different shades of red so it’s like a return to my beginnings
