EAFC 25

Can someone help? My lad purchased Xbox game pass standard yesterday (he already owns fc25) and when he tries to play ‘Clubs’ or any online match, it keeps prompting him to upgrade to ultimate. Is that correct? Trying to avoid paying for ultimate if it’s not needed and from what I’ve read, it suggests it shouldn’t be needed?

Any help appreciated!

Ultimate just gave you free perks, 7-day early access, some FUT points and other cosmetic/player things. Both standard and Ultimate have identical in-game features and don't dictate whether you can play online. I don't have an Xbox, but it sounds like it's a Game Pass thing? On the PS the only reason I wouldn't be able to play Clubs or Online would be if my PS Plus sub had ran out.
 
Is this worth playing for the single player content? I am not interested in online play but it is £15 on PSN right now and I quite like playing the odd football game now and again.

It's OK for the single player - still plenty of content in UT but plenty of other modes too
 
Considering EA FC 26.. Know I shouldn't bother. I like to look at the length of the old FIFA threads on here. The length of the threads tells a story in regards to how bad the games have become.
 
The lack of ea fc 26 tells you all you need to know about the state of the game.

I still maintain there is a great game hidden in there, connection issues which have plagued it one way or another since 14 have made me step away this year. Shame really.
 
Wasn’t it a complete change in the game though? They said they overhauled it all based on player feedback….

They have made a point of "we listened..." but they say similar most years, I have my order in, like I have every year since FIFA 1995, it's routine over enjoyment at this point, but my lads love it, so I have to be down with the kids and try and give them a schooling still. Hopefully, it's good, as I have literally nothing to play on the PS5 at this time of the year, until EAFC/COD come out.
