Competitor apparently going bump

It's a shame, because I used to use the for parts I couldn't get on Overclockers. To be honest, they were better suited for me when it came to lower end builds which I do from time to time.

I bought a monitor from them about 6 years ago and it died 2 weeks outside of the warranty, they didn’t want to know so I took my business elsewhere.

Oh wow, can't say I've had a good experience buying from them in the past, though this was years ago now. Admittedly, sometimes they've had a few good deals, but as others have said, RMA process they had was absymal, so I've steered clear of them for a long time.

As you've already started the RMA process, I guess you'd have to wait to see if they end up going bust. If they do, worth putting in a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act:

Haven't used them since 2007 for any personal purchases - didn't think it was that long ago. Used them sporadically a little bit after that for business type purchases, etc. They got left behind in my experience by other companies for the customer service experience so I didn't really have a reason to use them.

awful to deal with in my experience, a few years ago now admittedly - but got the general feeling that hadn’t improved much. though they did have some good deals/pricing on occasion, especially through their eBay store. Shame for all those that have lost their jobs and those that have/will lose money on purchases.

Used them once in 2018. Ordered a graphics card one night and when I woke up next day it had dropped £100 in price. I messaged them to check if I would get a refund on the difference as it had not even been 12 hours. They refused completely. I tried to cancel the order that morning (still less than 12 hours after order) and they ignored me and shipped that evening. I never actually got a response after that at all so I never used them again.

That's why I try not to use them, and I mean for anything, not just PC hardware.
The issue is that "they" the ones you are talking about are so big that returning things is as easy as popping off to ASDA and getting a bar code scanned. People will use them, I think "they" are the main reason our high streets are dead.

Huh. Not used them in a few years. They used to be pretty good. Not great news if it means less competition in this space.

Hate to see people lose their jobs.
Less competition never good.

Think the last time I used them was circa five years ago for a mini itx with embedded CPU I couldn't get elsewhere.
Had to rma it and they were fine
This was some time ago though.
