It's too hot :(

I sleep with the good old floor fan blowing the warm at everywhere.

Can't you just run the AC for a few hours before bed then turn it off once the rooms a bit cooler?

Been using mine for 6 years now and still working fine. But yeah i run it in the bedroom for a few hours before bed and drops temps by about 4c.

Yup same had it running pretty much all day, solar has helped but they do use a fair bit of juice, worth it I suppose for the few weeks or so you need it.

Thank goodness for the solar, before I was getting paid for export I couldn’t have cared less but once that started I have to try not to look at what it’s using !!

Talking of having the tube out the window, I use the flexible window kit and I hate it. Does anyone use anything a bit more effective and aesthetically pleasing that can fit in a standard UK style window?

I’ve got a meacocool- it’s great. Not quiet by any stretch but it’s good.

Nah I've just got this material thing that velcros around the window.

Yes, my Delonghi unit has a timer mode where you can set it to run for X hours then switch off.

It also turns the chiller function off once it’s held target temp for 10 minutes or so and becomes a big fan. After another 15-20 minutes of being a fan, it goes into standby until the temperature goes back above the set target.

Sounds ideal - are these the units that are like £800 odd?

Much cooler today, woke up to it around 16 deg - and only meant to peak at 23 today compared to 28 from the past 2 days! Seems like it'll be the same tomorrow here before ramping back up to 28 for Friday and Saturday.

Still too hot, just had a small op done to drain a cyst and the dressing hasn't lasted an hour as I'm sweating so much.
Is it one of those hospital dressings? I've always found them to be terrible.

These below, on the other hand, are miles better. They do them in XL and XXL sizes.

I also had an op done to drain a cyst on my arm a few months ago, and I quickly replaced the hospital dressing that I was given with one of the Elastoplast ones above. Worked wonders, especially in the shower, as I was able to shower without worrying about the dressing coming off. Though, a warning - don't attempt to take one of these waterproof dressings off when the area is dry. Given it's in the name, you'll find it very difficult to take it off especially while dry, so I've always taken them off if needed after showers or at least after getting the area wet. Still won't come off that easily, but shouldn't be as difficult when dry.
