It's too hot :(

Definitely going to get a portable ac unit this winter when prices aren't insane.

Its not longer the quip you get from climate change deniers "why are you moaning? It's just week of hot weather".
We are getting weeks of hot, humid and uncomfortable indoor weather in our houses not designed to cope with it

It's hot here. Just spent about 2 hours in a nice cool pub, so coming outside was a bit much.

Also the dog decided to see something that made him jump, right Infront of me whilst I was walking. Good job he was on a lead as he got punted down the street.

Absolute heaven here. Had to go into work this morning, great to be by the sea by the afternoon.

The day after £1 coin sized hailstones, flooding around a shopping centre and a mudslide closing part of an A road in Aberdeenshire, we're forecast to be back to bonkers 30C in Hampshire later today!

It's being an ideal set up for the weekend really for me . as I work in.a.distillery the mild temperature has been ideal , even had a good soaking of rain for the garden.
Heat hitting today but I finish at 12 and a stunning beach is only minutes away, I don't like heat but it's a good vibe and lots of scantily clad women so has to be done (who shouted perv ?)

i would love 20c, my bedroom hasn't dropped below 26c since this all started and is currently sitting at 26.9c

Same here lowest during the night been around 27c old thick walls retaining heat and peaking at 31c hopefully won't be for much longer , the oled screen doesn't help I can feel the heat coming off it

They're definitely worth it. That said, you'll never beat a proper install like a split and I'll always recommend an install to those who can afford it - it's provided a lot of comfort in general over the whole summer, not just the hot days. New builds that are very well insulated trap heat like nobody's business.

You'll find with a portable unit that, if you can't handle the noise at night, when you turn it off the heat in the rest of the house soon brings the temperature of the room that was being cooled back up. Our two splits with all the upstairs doors open manage to keep a lid on the whole house and that effect is much less pronounced (but still there). We can counter this by running the bedroom unit on "fan only" mode to keep the air moving a little.

That's too much for us. Hoping to move soon. And mainly just want something to keep the living room cool. Especially for the dog who struggles in summer.

Its a small detached house so brick work/glass gets hot on all sides of the house so it really warms up in the heat

It's another beautifully sunny day for me and I'm finally wearing my summer dresses! Lol!

Winter and dark nights are just around the corner though :(

I broke down crying the other night coz by half 9 it was already darkening and I can't bear winter! Lol!

Yeah same (not on summer dresses!).
I've had a few of the "oh no winter is coming" thoughts too.
Late Autumn/early winter is my least favourite time of year.
Wet, darkening, and Christmas (which isn't happy for me) on the way.
At least January can be cold and dry sometimes and summer is on the way.

Time flies by now!
