I'm the kind of person who always wishes the opposite season was here. If it's too hot, I wish winter was here. If it's too cold, I wish summer was here.
At least on winter days you can always put more layers on, or turn the heating up.

It's another beautifully sunny day for me and I'm finally wearing my summer dresses! Lol!

Winter and dark nights are just around the corner though

I broke down crying the other night coz by half 9 it was already darkening and I can't bear winter! Lol!

We're not quite two months on from the longest days in June, but sunset in Southampton is already 2028 BST tonight and it will be properly dark just after 2105.

Being able to enjoy a couple of hours outdoors in daylight after dinner is soon going to be mission impossible until next year.

Just like on Monday, it's gone midday and we are still below forecast temperature (26C now, forecast 30C).

Is this simply because the sun is weaker than heatwaves in May/June/July, so we don't reach peak inferno not long after 1100ish?

The Sun skipped leg day, so it takes longer to get round to the UK.

Yeah it's going to be hottest here in south wales/Bristol area this weekend.
But not stupid hot like high 30s.

Making plans for beach/kayak/wild swim!

Never know in late August how many good weekends are left. September has been amazing last few years. But in UK have to make most of it.

Its been an amazing year for us lizards!

A mate was in Aus, and said it was 42C in the shade, and that wasn't even a hot day apparently
