Horsetail removal

Currently dealing with horsetail, it's an absolute nightmare apparently the root systems can be meters underground

We have it through our lawn as well so don't want to use the nuke method but this is what works for us.

SBK Brushwood mixed as per the instructions in a backpack sprayer with a massive squirt of washing up liquid which helps it stick to the plant.
I use this and it works quite well.
I spray loads outside the fence, in the hope it damages it a bit underground.
But as you say, it's meters under, so never going to get rid of it completely

I couldn't get a large sprayer of SBK, so went for a couple of smaller hand spray bottles. I've used one of these on an area of the problem and will await the results. All ok and I'll get a proper spray bottle and give it a right good seeing to!

Thank you everyone for the advice/help/knowledge. :)
The 1litre concentrate goes a long way, I made the mistake last order of getting the 5L thinking it was the concentrate but it was premade, just as good but doesn't go as far.

Kurtail is great, SBK can do it as well.
I did a knapsack spray course to be legal for where I spray in commercial settings.
It was actually surprisingly, pretty intense. A fair few people failed it. There was a lot green thumb company people.on it.

To cut to the point I didn't realise the Importance of an adjuvant, which is used to enhance the quality of a spray on certain plants, mares tail, being one of them, as it has a waxy coating that makes it hard for spray to penetrate & kill it.
For Mares tail it's an adjuvant called KPLUS. Frankly I'd never spray mares tail without it now, especially with SBK.( If you want to kill brambles, SBK is a fantastic general consumer spray)

For spraying geeks:p... I also didn't realise the Importance of the right knapsack nozzle.
Most come with standard green 1/4 fan.
There's a whole world of different nozzles, for men of culture!

Never added anything to SBK to kill mares tail, always does the job. What can be improved of it's already working? I just spray it on and try not ingest it.

Is KPlus controlled? I've always used washing up liquid and found it to be effective compared to not using it.
