Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 18th August 2025]

I’m all for more banter manu keeper seasons but that’s as clear a foul you’ll see
Saliba only interested in the keeper and elbow/forearm into his ribs lol
(A) Saliba is being pushed into him, (B) it's not a non contact sport and he's barely touched him despite being pushed, and (C) if Bayindir had wrists made of anything other than lettuce he'd have handled it easily anyway

How do we have a yellow card but Shaw doesn't. I can't believe anyone actually thinks that was a foul on the keeper for our goal.

I guess Bayindir just fell into the net and away from the path of the ball due to a rubbing together :D

Keepers specifically have different rules, don’t have to like it but it’s been wrongly called there

Do understand you taking the Saliba bait though, that’s entirely the intention to disguise it. He’s pulling the Manu player with him lol

Saliba is clearly pushing Bayindir away from the ball, I don't know why VAR has this blindspot when it comes to Arsenal fouling from corners.
Not often I agree with you, but it’s unbelievable what they get away with when taking set pieces, but as soon as it’s on the other foot, they go down faster than Katie Price on valentines day

Its nothing to do with weak wrists and everything to do with trying to make hand contact with a moving object while someone is physically moving the thing attached to said wrist. Tell you what, get someone to push you about as you try to catch a ball and tell me how easy it is.

Arsenals entire corner routine is built around blocking players and the keeper. Almost every Arsenal player has no interest in the ball.

No, it's because he moves too far forward to go around the cluster of players in front of him, then has to backtrack on the goal line and is horribly off balance.

Nope.

Keeper should have been stronger.

Absolutely. And I don't see the problem with that. If you set up to stand in a position, you're entitled to remain there.

The jostling is six of one half a dozen of the other. Saliba is standing in front of the keeper, and the keeper and United defender were trying to move him out the way. He was trying to stand his ground.
