Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 18th August 2025]

His record is undoubtedly poor, and the pressure will continue to build.

The next two games are Fulham and Burnley and I'd say he's got to win both of them, as it's City and Chelsea afterwards.

The non-point stands lol.

Arse were lucky and didn't play well.

The "point" stands, as in United will finish above Newcastle at the season's end.

@Bigpig

Five quid?
I'm not sure Arsenal were lucky really. Raya pulled off some saves he should do but that's about it. United ran around a whole lot but its not like they had several good chances.

Apart from Saka at the end, were Arsenal "better" than United?

Look.

Not going to be in City's or Liverpool's space come the end of the season.

But, IMO, better than Newcastle

I think Keane's reaction there (and the reaction of some others) really highlights our problem. Arsenal are a strong, experienced side, and I think most people would agree we at the very least played well and probably deserved a point. But no, it's being framed as some sort of disaster result! Ultimately the next results will matter more, but this wasn't a bad start.

I love how far Newton Health have fallen that there main aim is to be better than Newcastle?

Or should I take that as a compliment?

Few good performances in the Utd team today Mbeumo, Cunha and De Ligt.
Have to get another GK before the window shuts.

It's more that they'll be in the mix for the cl spots (they truly believe it, weird) and you guys are ****** without isak :)

Improvement from last season for sure. I was concerned if we conceded relatively early we would fold but we played ok. Lot's of individually good performances but it needs to knit together pretty quick. Cuhna, Mbeumo, Mount all had good cameo's today. De Ligt Shaw and Yoro looks solid.

Shame that the game was undone by Paella Pullis set piece but hey ho

New GK and a midfielder please

@Bigpig

Squeal etc.

Will put a fiver on United finishing above Newcastle.

Can @BaZ87 ok this?

Steady lad. You lost at home to an Arsenal team who was **** on the day after spending like 200millions.

Maybe you should have brought on Sesko when you were chasing a goal? No?

Fiver?

Not the end of the world, right?

Looks like @Bigpig wants to potentially spend as much money as Newcastle has in this transfer window! Avoiding the challenge! :p
