Alien TV series (Alien Earth) : 2025

And episode 3 took a dive

1. Yea somehow she found out the direction xeno went. Xeno sees her and her and is like na I'm gonna go on the roof. A little earlier it went and killed multiple in a roo. She then went 1 on 1 and decapitated it off screen.

2. The cyborg was about to kill those 2 and they were s#it scared. He then befriends one of them and he's like ok. This is beyond stupid writing.

3. Wendy is able the go in a room where it's quarantined but the doors are open. What's worse no one notices she came in and fell on the floor.

Episode 1 was peak. 2 a bit more generic. 3 starting to become too cliched and rushed with plot points that don’t make sense. Many of the plot points are predictable. A few still intriguing though.

It catches the feel of the films well and I’m enjoying it though.

Finding the CGI a bit all over the place. The backgrounds and props are stellar, but the Xeno is all over the place. The Xeno props and suits often look terrible, they could use more CGI there imo.

1. She can hear it - followed the sound?

2. He realised they are some sort of Synth and knew he could use them.

3. The room was set up for any Synths to go in. But yes, they never heard the doors open or her fall to the floor. Bit silly considering they all have elevated senses.

I'm feeling it draws from everything we've had "alien" before I want to say bladerunner too... But maybe I'm stretching that.

I'm not keen on the cyborgs, its too much power/tech creeping to the future.....

I'd really love peoples opinions on....
the use of the Ice age cartoon reference? To connect bro and sister FX/Disney own the rights? Or foreshadowing... If the hybrids are lost boys are the other characters Manny and Sid lol

Why is boy genius such a genius.... He exhibits nothing other that cliché tropes of being unkempt. He's clearly not just a corporate figurehead like Yutani.. spend 30s defining character better.

Anyway like I said I have 499 more of these stupid questions that are mostly just bad writing things.

Maybe they just liked that movie as kids, nothing terribly unusual in a couple of kids liking a cartoon

Why is the boy genius a genius despite being nothing more than unkempt, hard to say but to be fair, many say that Elon Musk is a genius and he usually exhibits nothing other than being unkempt too :)

I understand why there are the but why? questions, but again...to be fair, someone could tell me the name of a tv show or movie that they think is brilliant and if I was to analyse it I could no doubt find all manner of but whys? in it too. Sometimes you have to just put the but whys aside and enjoy a show/movie for what it is and if not enjoyable not watch it, thats what I do

I don't like the style of the "previously on Alien Earth" is done. In general I don't like this camera style of just flashing images at the viewer tbh.

And making Ice Age part of the alien universe means this is our Earth, so what on earth happened with the massive backwards jump in technology? I like that they still use the 70's sci fi standard of what the future will be like, same with the way they do it in Star Wars but once you start adding real references in the immersion is gone. Ice Age was computer generated, had it been a hand drawn cartoon like an old Disney movie then fair enough but how did we get from creating CGI movies to monochrome computer screens everywhere??
