NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Update. So as stated by another member, the company has went into liquidation and administrators can't issue a refund apparently, which is what Im chasing as don't want the same card.
I've reached out to the finance company, but does anyone have experience with this?

Cheers.
('Worst' case I could probably get it fixed replace via Gigabyte/Thermal Grizzly)
The retailer you bought it from has gone in administration? Damn. Can you not go direct to Gigabyte?

Check out Section 75 refunds (assuming you paid via a credit card): https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/section75-protect-your-purchases/
You are covered if the seller has gone bust.

I was considering selling my zotac 4080 and getting a 5080 but i think i will hang on now until the new cards are out, no point getting a 5080 now with the 24gb super out later in the year!

Yeah sorry, I do recognise the “cost of living” issues, however I assumed the FE models are rare and supply is released carefully to ensure some kind of exclusivity

Would have thought building something around a Arduino would have been neater - I'd have probably stuck some temperature and current sensing in there and a main relay to jack if it gets wild.

I’ve started with the beans on toast diet already so I am prepared for the 6090 in 18 months. :D

Sometimes my genius is frightening…

NVIDIA opens RTX 50 Verified Priority Access to five countries in Europe - VideoCardz.com https://share.google/stERxYSehI0eqHwfF

Better late than never? Reckon most folk that wanted an FE have got one by now with them being in stock for a while recently?
Looks like it's only showing the 5090 as an option now too for the UK available selection. Assuming they'll add the 5080 later on.

Really amazing how both the FE models of the 5070 and 5080 seemed to constantly be always in stock directly from Nvidia (and the 5090 more recently) but as soon as there's a price drop they're suddenly out of stock!

I think the 5070 at 499 is actually a pretty good card - was recommending it to a mate before realising they'd all gone out of stock.
