Out of interest, why did you swap from the Corsair RMx?Right fitted it and all seems good working as should be not done any gaming yet though but happy with it so far better than the corsair rmx
It was faulty mate brand new but faulty there's been a few reports of the rmx going faulty as wellOut of interest, why did you swap from the Corsair RMx?
Ah, fair enough. Would be good to hear your thoughts on the Antec after a few days use. I'm planning to pick up the same unit. Thanks. It was faulty mate brand new but faulty there's been a few reports of the rmx going faulty as well
I will post on here in a couple of days mate but first impressions are it's quiet cables are decent easy to do cable managementAh, fair enough. Would be good to hear your thoughts on the Antec after a few days use. I'm planning to pick up the same unit. Thanks.
The Corsair HX1200i would not work properly with Icue ,so I could not see the power usage or change the fan or rail settings , I think it might have had a conflict with my Corsair aio so I sent it back and went for the NZXT.Thanks, I think I'll likely stick with the Antec when I'm ready to purchase.
The NZXT is a good PSU. I think my bro uses the C1500. DPD have my Antec, so should hopefully be here tomorrow! The Corsair HX1200i would not work properly with Icue ,so I could not see the power usage or change the fan or rail settings , I think it might have had a conflict with my Corsair aio so I sent it back and went for the NZXT.
Fingers crossed the NZXT will be reliable but if it’s not ,I think I would go for the Antec .The NZXT is a good PSU. I think my bro uses the C1500. DPD have my Antec, so should hopefully be here tomorrow!
How'd this pan out for you? What PSU did you go for?I've currently got fitted a 750w Seasonic prime ultra 80+ Gold in my system which was purchased at the start of 2019.
When I first installed it, I thought it was my Vega 56 that had coil whine but upgraded to a 3080 in 2020 and exact same. It's now doing my head in after 6 years of ownership so looking to change it out. Especially with new cards on the horizon and the upgrade temptations coming along with the PSU aging away.
I ended up getting the Antec HCG Pro 1200W, Overkill for my needs but I got it for near the same price as the 1000W version elsewhere. How'd this pan out for you? What PSU did you go for?
I'm coming from a similar background of wondering if replacing an old PSU can solve the coil whine problem that appeared when I bought a 7900 XT paired with an otherwise magnificent trooper of a 2011 PSU.

I went with a 9070XT in the end, Couldn't justify the costs of a 5080/5090.It’s probably not TBH. With a 5090 you’re looking at 600watts+ dumped into the case plus the rest of the system and that easily 800watts of heat that needs dealing with. If the case cooling isn’t top notch 800watts could pretty quickly heat soak the system and PSU and start thermal runaway. Cooling a 600 watt thing next to its power supply in 1.5 square feet case is no mean feat.
Nice. Did the PSU change help with the coil whine you mentioned in your OP?I ended up getting the Antec HCG Pro 1200W, Overkill for my needs but I got it for near the same price as the 1000W version elsewhere.
