Having my Taycan GTS PPF'd in the coming weeks - going for a mainly front end protection package rather than the entire car.

Has anyone here had their windscreen PPF'd?

Apparently that's a 'thing' now that can be done (who knew!!??) - just wondering if anyone has had it done and what they thought of it?

Not sure I believe it but some claim to have a high level of impact protection - not really worthwhile in my opinion unless they do and I wouldn't put that on side windows as they shatter in a certain way for a reason.

Out of interest have you declared PPF to insurance how much did it cost extra? reason I say is I read some horror stories recently of insurance getting declined when they said they had PPF done.

And who do you use for insurance thats expensive motor so I would want to be covered.

Previous car (G21 M340i Touring) was PPF'd from new, I'm with Admiral on a multi car policy and when I declared the PPF on the BMW they noted it but there was no extra charge. Chap said if it was a full wrap which changed the look/colour it would likely attract a modest increase in cost.

Not had the Taycan PPF'd yet, going to speak to a local company who come highly recommended on Weds, will declare to Admiral again but I'd expect their answer to be similar.
