I am tempted sometimes as I find the ads disruptive. Still I think they are supposed to be.

If you are just worried about disruptive ads personally I think the Lite plan is good value for money, unless you want access to the music stuff and if you do then maybe the full price makes sense I dunno - personally it doesn't add value for me.

Music videos aside zero disruptive or intrusive ads, for now at least, with Lite, though you do get ads inserted into the video lists like search results, etc. but that doesn't cause any disruption of the experience.

I've given up trying to use a VPN etc to get a cheaper sub. I'm now simply using brave browser and looking at what app is best for my fire stick. They're not getting a penny from me whilst the UK remains so over priced.

Just got a 1 year membership using a Japanese IP - after FX ended up with a £64 charge so £5 per month. Happy to pay this.

And why would I want a family group where anyone on the group can login to my account when selecting a profile? No thanks, I'd much rather pay an extra £1 a month and have it all to myself.

It's the same as an individual account, what is it I don't have control over? Might be a good option anyway for when it inevitably gets caught, I think my Ukraine one lasted a year just about.

Tbh I just assumed it was the same as Netflix, Prime where you select your profile when loading up the app, and you can select any profile. Good YT is not like that. But regardless as Rroff mentioned, I would much rather have my own solo account and not have to deal with anyone else or anyone else's accounts, for the sake of pennies.
