Average film.

1 hour too long no need for the endless exposition scenes & repeating what they already told you so many times.

Poor action so little of it the sub scene was awesome the plane scene boring well shot but boring. Paramount must have barely broken even on the last 3 MI movies too expensive to make less is always more!

They should leave it alone now if they ever make another keep it under 2 hours

I was disappointed, it had a different feel compared to the previous films since 3 imo which I don't think really worked. However some of the stunts were amazing. Fallout was the peak I think.

can't get spoiler tag to work :)

Better than I thought, easily better than Reckoning part 1, probably cos all the characters are already fleshed out. Hit's you in the nostalgia feels a lot, for those old enough to have seen all the films when originally released.

7.5-8/10. For a "final" entry it's a much better conclusion than a lot of franchises.

This and the previous one, taken for what they are.. which is a conclusion and send off.. then both films are reasonably good, say maybe 8/10 and 7/10... respectively..

But taken as MI films in their own right there is way too much schmaltz for me.. like a star wars / LOTR everyone stands up and claps everyone on the back type movies.. so as actual MI movies, i'd say just above average 6.5/10 and 5.5/10...

Ridiculous plot, 3hrs long(!) but loved it. Fantastic countries and scenery and stunts were fantastic - plane chase looked phenomenal, but was a bit boring :( Sub scene was heart stopping moment, but the escape was stretching the boundaries more than the usual MI stuff.

First 30mins were a nice homage to the franchise, it would be nice if TC came back as a Controller (Jim Phelps) and hand the reigns over to the next team. He's too old to be an agent and it was starting to show in FR.

Loved it.

Watched it in 2 halves because that's how you watch everything with a 2.5yr old :o, I think it broke it up nicely. Not sure I'd have stuck the whole 3 hours out in one go but generally enjoyed it, the last one I don't think I've ever actually watched all the way through so it's a improvement on that.
