Carabao Cup 2nd Round Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th - 27th August 2025]

Think that's the least of the problem lol , also the 2 new guys missed but I ain't bothered about that , I'm bothered about how do you scrap a draw in 95mins Vs League 2 side , and Onana needs to be scrapped out
a league 4 side most of their players will be on man united wages... but per year, not per week.

surely defenders should have been trying to score for fun

Fourth Division or League 2. League 4 means nothing.
if theres 4 leagues and you order them by number, is it league 2 or league 4? see maybe how that's confusing to people calling it league 2? especially anyone not familiar with the English leagues.

Anyway man united will be playing there in a few more seasons at this rate, then it will mean something.

Well I can’t say that wasn’t disappointing. I can’t see Amorim making it to Christmas unless something is done about the keeper situation and the glaring hole in midfield.

Better to say its the 4th tier of English football.

yea
prem > championship > league one, > league 2

its a 4th division team aka league 4

league 2 makes it sound like they are way closer to the prem

Literally nobody refers to it as league 4, it's fourth division or fourth tier. So it's not "aka" as it's never been known as league 4..

It was from the 1950's up until the PL started, then it became League 3. Then when the Championship got its name it went to League 2

Edit, read your post wrong, yes never named League 4 but Fourth Division like you said

In the context of today, 75 years later, nobody would say "Grimsby play in League 4". Just like nobody would say Liverpool play in League 1, which is the stage point he's trying to make.

If he don’t get 3 points against Burnley I don’t think he’s making it to September let alone Christmas!

Amorim got to go surely, his we must do this and this only doesn’t work.

Certainly not with these players.

Madness they’ve stuck with Onana, should have been dropped after 2-3 games.
