Playing through my dodgy elbow which I'm sure is the right choice
Played in the roll-up on Friday, pretty bad really, maybe doing comps/putting cards in when injured isn't the best idea... Just a scruffy triple on the first then 2 big pulls with the driver on the second (both dead) meant the comp was basically over... Actually did for a bit after that with 2 bogeys and 4 pars but then messed up the last (another big pull with the driver, you think I'd learn!) so meh.
Then today I played the Stranahan course of The Players, just north of the M4/by Chipping Sodbury. Played there once before, back in April 9th 2023 when I was less than a year into golf. The plus point is I absolutely smashed my PB
Terrible front 9 though, +6 on the back 9 though so something?
Kinda surprised though as the course conditionof the Stranahan was pretty bad really, they have two courses there and the Stranahan is the 'cheap' one at £36, the Codrington is £70-ish, but really did look a bit unloved. They're hosting part of the DP World Tour Q School in a couple of days on the Codrington so maybe that but honestly even for £36 it seemed poor.
I also forgot that the layout is a bit mental, lots of holes really close to/crossing over each other, shocked I've played there twice and never been hit by a ball but a couple bounced closer than I'd like.
