As per my other thread, Curry's have been unable to repair my TV after a discoloured patch appeared, so they're sending me a voucher.
The TV in question was a Hisense U7QFT, so far from top end, but not bargain basement either - looking for something similar (or of course better), ideally 65" but would potentially consider smaller if this allowed for a significant improvement in quality.
Guessing a mid-range mini-LED is going to be the closest equivalent; I'd love an OLED, but I think budget is going to rule that out, along with concerns about the kids (and other half) leaving things paused for hours on end.
Budget isn't quite set yet*, but let's say around £800-£1,200 as a starting point.
Usage is quite mixed, mostly TV series, and the odd film, gaming on Switch and I also have my Steam Deck & Nvidia shield hooked up to it for streaming from my PC. Current one is 60Hz, but obviously higher is better.
Absolutely not Samsung please.
* they haven't confirmed the voucher amount yet, but I'm hoping it's for close to the full £700 I originally paid
