Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

Quick question for anyone who has activated the one year Google AI Pro. I'm currently arguing with Google Support who are telling me I'm not eligible as I'm an existing Google One and YouTube Premium subscriber. Do any of you who've activated it have these?
You might need to cancel your youtube premium to activate the offer. The blurb says existing Google One subscribers are eligible, but only if they don't have any add ons. Check it in the Google One app, you just go to manage subscriptions and it should show you if you've got any add ons (which you can manage from in there).

The T&Cs are here:

This is the relevant text:

Existing Google One users can redeem this offer, but this free trial period cannot be added to an existing free trial. Users can only use one trial at a time and promotion lengths are not stackable. If a user has an existing trial and redeems a new trial, their existing trial or subscription plan will be revoked and their new trial will begin, regardless of how much time they have left on their existing offer. The offer is not available to:
Google One users subscribed to an add-on
Google One users subscribed to a higher tier plan than the one being offered
Google One users on a family plan who are not the plan manager
Google One users who have a Google One subscription through a third party or affiliate
Google One users who are a discounted Pixel bundle subscriber

I just went to the help centre from the store page, it was a long wait. I was having a search online and found a few reddit threads with lots of people having the same issue.

The support guy keeps pointing me to some terms that say we would not be eligible if we have a Google One account, but the terms on the product page don't state this, so I'm still arguing.
My phone even popped up to say I'm eligible!

Is having Youtube Premium (which is a separate subscription, not a add on) or Nest Aware (events, which is a feature of Google One - not a add-on?) a exclusion from the promotion. Sucks if so.

You could cancel, then re-add them to your subs once the offer applies.
How does the free sub get sent, is it an emailed code?

I thought Youtube premium was separate, seems odd if not.

The support person is basically telling me you're not eligible if you are a current or previous Google One subscriber, which I guess makes most people ineligible, ignoring the Youtube premium part.

That's shocking

@Camalot Thanks, yeah let me know. I spent about 2 hours.

If you go to this page https://store.google.com/category/phones?hl=en-GB and then scroll down to the terms it highlights for this offer shown beside § I would say Google One members are eligible.
Then if you go to https://store.google.com/product/pixel_10_pro?hl=en-GB and scroll down to numbers 8 and 9 at the bottom that are referenced under the offer on that page, than again I would say we should be eligible. I was suggesting the the support guy that when purchasing the phone these are the things I would check.
However, he was pointing to the offers page here - https://store.google.com/collection/offers?hl=en-GB if you look at the terms for the offer there (6th image), it states "Offer only available to customers who are not current or past Google One, Fitbit Premium or YouTube Premium subscribers.". Though as I say, I was pointing out that I didn't visit that page and the product page stated I was eligible.

Live chat ended already, been esceleated to another team who are reaching out to me via e-mail, to probably tell me I am not eligable.

When I loaded up gemini for the first time, I had a pop up saying I have received 1year for free. Although it sent me to an error and never completed.

Their terms are conflicting, one hand says yes while another says no.

Yeah that's what I kept saying, they conflict and the ones I would have seen when making a purchase said I was eligible. He kept checking with another team and saying they denied an exception, I kept saying I didn't want an exception as I should be entitled anyway.... T&Cs do seem a mess.

Earlier in the T&Cs where that 'not current or previous subscribers' bit is, it lists the different scenarios for existing Google One members to not be eligible.
Why would it bother to list specific scenarios and then give a blanket no? It's obviously an error that the CS team are latching onto for some reason.

Went to a few shops today to get a screen protector fitted, no one would do it. I said it will be the same as a 9 pro XL, but nope!

I can't fit them myself to save my life, they annoy me to the point I want to smash the phone up

Any decent ones that are easy to fit?

First macro test.

My 10 Pro arrived yesterday and I'm overall very happy with it, however I'm finding it gets very hot when charging unlike the 8 that I had previously.

Received my Walnut Mous case today and that is also decent, essential for a phone that feels like trying to hold a bar of wet soap it's so slippery.

Probably should have done a little more research, but I didn’t realise you can’t the Preferred Care insurance to a Pixel that isn’t bought direct from Google, even if it’s an authorised reseller (EE in this case).

SIM-free one returned and have ordered direct from Google now! Arrives Sunday.

Still, loved the return to a normal sized blower from the 8 Pro.
