The AMD Driver Thread

Anyone using edge and google street view and performance terrible. Never used to be that bad, is it the drivers mucked up or the edge developers, same with hardware acceleration off and on. On latest drivers. 6700xt.

I'll have a try later for you as I use Edge with a 6900xt on latest drivers.

Just tested on latest drivers and 9070, seems fine here so maybe not a driver thing.

Fine for me too. But the first attempt it was really low fps which got worse the bigger the browser window. Turns out I had graphics acceleration turned off from when troubleshooting the earlier browser rendering issues discussed in this thread.

Turning it back on and restarting browser got Edge back up to speed.

Hmm, thanks for testing anyhow. Not sure what to do then. Not like i use it a lot but when i do it would be nice if it didnt take ages to render the images as you move a space along the road.

Edit - hmm seems ok today, not sure what was up then. Maybe after turning hw acceleration on closing and reopening window didnt work but maybe turn pc off and on did thats the only thing i can think of. Tho didnt think switching hw acceleration needed a pc reboot.

The undervolt I've got on my 6700XT is perfectly stable but more often than not, when I restart my PC, it's back at default and I have to reload the profile. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I'm guessing it's tied to Windows error reports on shutdown and as a fail safe, AMD driver resets to default.

In Adrenaline, either export your settings and import when it defaults.

Or.

Save your settings to individual game profiles, even if Adrenaline resets, your undervolt is still active when you launch each game.
(Game undervolt profiles will remain if you upgrade driver without a clean install)

You got msi afterburner installed? i had the same problem with my memory clocks resetting every reboot but it left my undervolt alone, it wasn't even set to launch on startup but still did it. Uninstalled now and the problem is gone.

Should be expecting new drivers end of this week / start of next potentially? Given that Borderlands 4 drops in a few days. :)

So does that mean my 6700xt can use fsr4 in dune? Or does games need to adjust it or does it still not support 6xxx series. Its a bit vague that line.

FSR4 support remains 90 series exclusive.

It's in regards to AMD automatically enabling FSR 3.1>FSR4 support, previously FSR4 required AMD whitelisting.
