Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th - 31st August 2025]

Didn’t expect that, a clean sheet and only 1 goal. Thought that would be a defensive disaster-class from both teams but they came out on top.

9 points and Salah and Wirtz yet to find their feet, I’ll take that.

Unhappy to lose but it took a worldie of a fk to beat us. Still think we got great things to come.

Really happy with salibas stand in and madueke was good also

Onto the next

Currently have 4 points more than then last season from the corresponding fixtures :)

Given how much trouble bmouth and Newcastle caused us, arsenal were *****

Disappointing result that. Was pretty even all the way through apart from a 10 minute spell in the second half and that wonder goal. Liverpool defended pretty well.

Still a long way to go but to win that reasonably comfortably as they never really threatened is good going. Timber not getting more time added for his cheating in injury time is peak, I see Eze already been briefed by the bridesmaid

 Liverpool better hope they get geuhi now

Nice one laughing at injury of player who’s pretty harmless.

The balance of the attack and midfield still isn't right. Even in the first two games where we've scored 7, it's been very disjointed. Thankfully the defence were excellent today - Ibou was back to his best and dare I say, I didn't want to kill Kerkez for the first time either.

Szoboszlai's the type of player that you could play anywhere but I didn't think he'd turn out to be the best RB in the world. Hopefully Salah gave Gyokores his boots back after the game - I can't remember a game where he's miscontrolled the ball as often as he did today.

Gokwang strikes me as a player who’ll score a ton against the lesser team but struggle against the better teams. Thought he was abysmal today, got bullied by Konate.
Thought he got **** all help too tbf
Madoueke more interested in failing to wind up Kerkez and Martenelli was poor

Actually looked better when Jones came on as it allowed Wirtz to be a bit higher
