Cex scammer

I always called it Ceee Eeee Exxx, as in read out the letters one by one. I thought it stood for consumer electronics something or other.
I may have made all of that up in my head tho.
I only realised it was pronounced Sex when I saw and heard a recent televised advert where they refer to it.

cex are really daft tbh, i just walk into it in a shopping centre because im lured by some of the tech on the display and i always walk out empty handed after going lol at the prices, buts it is nice to see some games i actually own commanding high prices :)

think the only time i bought something in cex was a normal controller for a nintendo wii dirt cheap which works awesome on my snes mini for games that need 2 extra trigger controls eg emulating ps1 games where the snes controller is lacking 2 buttons and analogue sticks :)

edit : think its called the wii classic controller.

ohh god how could i forget that parting crab, i literally caught his bigger cousin a while back and let him go free, was big as hell and red and had black bands over his claw tips and a white underbelly, i was like whoa so big like a dinner plate and had to use two hands to pick it up to avoid the pincers lmao might be one of Geoffrey's kids :)

usually only get green small crabs here so that one stood out :D

i haz panzer dragoon saga and a few other rare saturn games that cex is trying to price gouge on, also got a sega multi mega that if i recall i used to play the smurfs christmess album on..,..... with head phones, my only defence for that one is autism and the multi mega doubled as a cd player was like a bulky disc man that could play megadrive gamnes and mega cd games, picked it up for 70 quid after i had the saturn now its worth hundreds :P

I still don't understand how you can legitimately use a voucher code to make a purchase online and then that is somehow fraudulent.

The voucher code worked and the goods ordered presumably to your address. How can it then be cancelled/reversed by a third party?

Well cex say on their website any codes obtained fraudently will be escalated to police...

This is what I get form their FAQs

My voucher has been stolen/fraudulently used
If you believe that your CeX voucher has been stolen, then as with any theft, the matter should be reported to the police.

CeX will be happy to assist with any police investigation.

i.e. this covers the scenario someone steals a legitimate coupon and uses it without the owners consent.. i.e. theft..

The reddit thread linked shows a situation the code didn't work yet the seller had been paid, that's the exact opposite of your situation..

As he deleted his account on reddit, I can't see beyond that one case any others he did and if anyone confirmed he'd been selling vouchers he didn't own..

CEX should ban any resale of their vouchers but they wont as I guess the vouchers are a way to maintain or inflate the prices of the products they sell. It maintains the lower cash value they have.

I'm surprised the forum allows the sales of them given they're a competitor and the strict rules of not being able to sell for a profit as the purchase of these vouchers allow people to make a profit reselling elsewhere or making a saving from purchase from cex.
